Gail Johnson is award-winning journalist. After completing her Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in French (Honours), she earned a diploma in journalism with the highest marks in her class. Straight out of college she was hired by two of Vancouver's highest-profile newspapers: the Georgia Straight, a news and entertainment weekly, and the Province,
a daily.

After two years working at both papers, in 1998 she moved to the Georgia Straight full-time, specializing in health and fitness writing. In addition to in-depth news stories, she also covers everything from dance to food. Her role at the Straight includes substantive editing, copy editing, and proof reading.

Now a freelancer, Gail continues to contribute to the Georgia Straight as an associate editor and health columnist.

She also has a thriving freelance career. She's the managing editor of blush, a national Canadian magazine for moms and moms-to-be. She writes for several publications, including alive, the Globe and Mail, Fairmont Magazine, HomeSpa, and many others.

As a writer, Gail delivers consistently clean, accurate, compelling, informative, interesting copy on-time. No exceptions.

As an editor, Gail catches the most minute of grammatical errors and brings stories to life, whether the copy is written for print or the Web.
